They have a large pool, including a separate kids pool, a playground, kids entertainment (in high season) and children’s indoor play area. 10 amazing things to do in Benidorm
Benidorm is well known for being a lively and vibrant place to be and whether you are single, holidaying with your family, as a couple or part of a hen/stag party then Benidorm has it all covered. If you are looking for a cheap holiday to Spain then Benidorm is a must. However if the thought of hustle and bustle scares you a little then don’t panic, you don’t have to go too far to find the quiet and tranquil parts of town.
There is plenty to see and do, we’ve had a quick search around and listed some of the most interesting things to do in Benidorm.
When you think of Benidorm Culture is the last thing you think of, however, as it was once a small fishing village there is much history to be found in Benidorm. Take a visit to the Maritime Culture Centre where you will be able to view model ships and many different nautical exhibits such as fishing boats, anchors, knots and such like. The Maritime Culture Centre is based near the Paseo de Colon and is free to enter. There are also several other museums to visit including, the House Museum, the Agricultural Museum and a small bullfighting museum.
Visit San Jamie church (Iglesia de san Jamie y Santa Ana), a beautiful church from the 18th century found on a hill in the Old Town or take a stroll to the end of Poniente beach and find the Tossal de la Cala, which is an Iberian Settlement which was built between the 3rd and 1st Century BC.
If you enjoy shopping or fancy a spot of window shopping then you are in luck. In the Old Town of Benidorm there are many individual shops to stroll around selling all sorts of interesting items, including leather goods at bargain prices; shoes, handbags & wallets, along with plenty of souvenir shops to peruse. Further along to the Rincon de Lois and Levante district of Benidorm, you will find many of Benidorm’s beautiful boutiques with some unique items and of course some more gift and souvenir shops.
Benidorm has all the standard high street fashion stores, such as Zara, H&M etc in the Old Town, however, if you fancy going for a little drive out then the Shopping Centre La Marina at Finestrat is only ten minutes away. They have a wide range of shops and restaurants available including a play area where the kids can be kept entertained. Here you will also find a bowling alley and cinema.
Spain is well known for their markets and Benidorm is no different. Benidorm markets are held on a Wednesday and Sunday along with the indoor market which is open 6 days a week and is located in the ‘New Town’ Rincon de Loix.
Aiguera Park is a lovely place to take a walk, situated near to the Old Town it is a peaceful area to enjoy. There are lots of benches throughout the walk ways to stop and take a rest and on some evenings they have performances at the bandstand.
If you are a bit more of a serious walker then take a hike in the natural park of Sierra Helada. The walk along Sierra Helada provides breathtaking views across the mediterranean and Benidorm. There are three walking routes planned out, blue (easy), red (for everyone) and yellow (hard) and you can download yourself a map before you go.

Take a 20 minute boat trip to the iconic island of Benidorm ‘La Isla de Benidorm’ and explore this protected natural park at your own leisure. You can enjoy a drink or ice cream at the bar. If you fancy a boat trip a little further out then you can enjoy a trip from Bendiorm harbour to the white beaches of Calpe, just a 1 hour boat ride away.
There are many beautiful town’s nearby Benidorm that you can visit for a day out, including Altea, Calpe, Alicante and many more but a couple of sites not to be missed are the Castle of Guadalest & The Waterfalls of Algar. Both of these places are approximately a 30 minute drive from Benidorm. Take the kids to the dinosaur land in Algar. This is a great trip out for any kid.

You will be able to find Boat Trips, Scuba Diving, Cable-Ski, Parasailing, Jet Skiing and many more entertaining things to do.
For the adrenaline junkie in you there are many other activities you can take part in such as Go Karting, Jeep Safari, Paintballing, Horse Riding and Mountain Biking.
