With it being a major city you certainly won’t be short on things to do and places to visit. The rivalry between the football fans is certainly an interesting one which brings a great atmosphere to the city on a local derby day given they are only 7km apart from one another. Whether you are visiting the huge Trafford Stadium or Cities ground Etihad Stadium there are plenty of transportation links around be it bus, taxi or train. Another thriving aspect of Manchester is of course the shopping! City or countryside?
One of the great things about Manchester is it is full of life with many visitors to the area therefore there are numerous hotels on offer, be it budget accommodation or complete luxury you will find it here. If a city visit is something you like but prefer to stay in a more tranquil area then head to the outskirts where you will find some beautiful countryside and smaller boutique hotels such as Knutsford or Uppermill.
