Car parking is free with over 3000 spaces. Do be warned though on busy days, such as bank holidays or the weekend, it can still be pretty difficult to find a space and you may find yourself driving around for quite some time. If you have a blue badge for parking then you are in luck as Castlepoint have many spaces for disabled persons, there are that many that there is always some available. The car park does have issues with some of the construction underground, meaning that it has lots of posts to support the upper car park, making it a little difficult to access all the underground parking. It’s worth avoiding if you can. Many have complained about the design and layout of the carpark as traffic flow in, around and out of the car park does not make ones experience very relaxing. It’s certainly advisable to get there early. Whilst inside though you will find your shopping experience much better with the centre being well presented, clean and tidy.
The centre is accessible by bus too. There are different stops which access the centre, depending on the bus route you take. If you take the yellow bus the signage to find the shopping centre is not all that clear, however, there are normally lots of people going in that direction so follow the crowd and you will reach your shopping paradise. If travelling by Wilts & Dorset your bus will stop opposite Frankie & Bennies.
Any information needed about the centre or bus information can be found in the Management Office on the lower ground floor, under Argos. If you need information before you travel then you can contact them directly on 01202 510050.
There are various cafe’s and restaurants available, however, only limited amount have outdoor seating so you will find it a little difficult getting a space outside in warmer weather.
The centre does have a canopy covering the open area, so it does help somewhat when it is raining. However, it does not cover the whole of the area so do watch where you are walking if its been raining as the tiles can get very slippery.
If you are looking for the individual personalised shops, as with all shopping centres you will not find it here. However, overall this is a nice big shopping centre and you should be able to get all the things you want here.
The shopping centre is open from 9am - 8pm Monday - Friday, 9am - 7pm Saturday, 10.30am - 4.30pm Sunday and 10am - 5pm on Bank Holidays. Of course as there is a vast range of shops, some opening and closing times will vary depending on individual stores so if you are after a particular store you can check out online each individual stores opening times before you visit.
