If you are wondering where it gets its name from then a quick visit inside and you will see it has many shiny brass fittings, hence the name The Brasshouse. Its looks are a little deceiving from the outside, it’s much bigger inside than you originally think and has just recently been refurbished.
Now on a normal day to day basis you will find great service, sometimes this can be a little jeopardised at their busiest times of day when some staff can be a little rushed or have to wait a bit longer than you would expect, however, overall the service is friendly and welcoming. There is normally some live sports on TV or if you are wanting to show off that X Factor singing voice then pop along on one of their many karaoke nights!
On the food menu you will find the normal hearty pub food, fish and chips, steak and chips, scampi, salad, jacket potatoes etc. The food is all cooked to a good standard and is of excellent value, especially if you go when they have their deals on. There is also a huge selection of drinks to choose from, so you certainly won’t be lacking on the choice front. If you prefer to sit outside then they have a heated outdoor drinking area, where you can sit and relax. The Brasshouse has a mixture of ages that drink and eat here, from the young students to an older clientele, it’s certainly a pub for all ages.
Opening times vary with Sunday and Monday 10.30am - 11pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 10.30am until Midnight, Thursday to Saturday 10.30am until 12.30am.
