The Museum is full of interesting information, but do be prepared to have to do a lot of reading, which is fine for older children but younger children will be kept entertained by the life-sized dinosaurs.
The Museum itself is not a very big place and and you can expect to be at the site for approximately an hour if you are completing the question sheet. Giving the time you are there a family trip out may seem to be quite expensive with adult tickets around £7.00 and child prices at £6.00 (under 3’s free). You can purchase a family ticket (2 adults & 2 children) for a little discount at £24.00. Before your visit it’s worthwhile checking on their website or on the web where you can pick up some discounts.
You can contact the Dinosaur Museum on 01305 269880 or visit their website at www.thedinosaurmuseum.com. Their opening times are January to March 10am until 4pm. April to September 10am until 5pm. October to December 10am to 4pm. The Museum is closed during the Christmas season but do check their website for when exactly it is closed before you visit..
The site is old and has limited access for those with mobility problems. The entire lower floor is accessible, however there is a narrow staircase that would make the upper floor inaccessible. This is reflected with a concession entrance fee. There are toilets on site but unfortunately no baby change facilities so do come prepared.
