Refreshment bars can be found around the building, but do be advised that on more popular events it can take a little while to get served. Prices are quite high but are average for this type of venue, around £7 for two drinks.
The theatre itself offers an intimate atmosphere, it is neither too big or too small. The sound and viewing is good all around the theatre. There is a mixed feel on the seating, with some seats being comfortable and having plenty of room, whilst some other seats feel a little tight on space. It’s a good idea to mention when if you need a seat with a bit more leg room if you or your partner are tall. Staff are found to be friendly and helpful. The only restriction is during musical concerts where the auditoriums are all seats and therefore you have limited dancing space, although you are allowed to dance in the aisles.
The venue is easily accessible with some direct parking outside, however these are limited to 185 spaces so do come early if you want parking directly outside. There are numerous parking facilities close by the Theatre. Prices at the Pavilion car park are up to 4 hours £4.50 or all day for £12.50.
Tickets can be booked at the box office or can be booked online. When booking online you do have the choice to have the tickets delivered or print them out yourself. There are different postal methods available, which you chose the one that suits you and pay for it along with your ticket. Do be advised that when booking online you are charged £1 to print out your own ticket.
The main building and box office are open Monday - Saturday 10am until 5.30pm. Telephone number for tickets is 0844 576 3000.
